Hi everyone! My name is Emilia Páez. I'm 20 years old and I study law with a minor in journalism.
I joined UNIANDES HNMUN last year, and I can confidently say I walked away with way more than I came for — every single time. I found my role models, my best friends, and most importantly my crew: a group of exceptional individuals who push you, with love and grit, to become the best version of yourself.
There is a before and after HNMUN. One where you walk into rooms with more confidence, face challenges with more resilience, approach conversations with more curiosity, and show up for every person with more intentionality.

CAMILO TORRES - faculty advisor
Hello everyone! My name is Camilo Torres Casanova, and I'm a Lawyer with an emphasis on International Relations and Security. My interests include diplomacy, peacemaking, human rights, the UN and transitional justice. Out of work, I'm into indoor cycling, art history and travelling everywhere.
I joined UNIANDES HNMUN back in 2017, and for me this path has been truly transformative. Our team is a space where you are constantly pushed towards excellence, while being a safe space with your closest friends. This year, after such a long time, I'm happy to come back as Faculty Advisor. My main goal is to break previous standards and bring UNIANDES HNMUN to a whole new level. Hello everyone! My name is Felipe Pimentel, a 21 year old Economics and Government student with a minor in Psychology. I joined UNIANDES HNMUN last year, and today I can say that its the best experience I’ve had during my time in college.
UNIANDES HNMUN, for me, is the place where I found purpose. We all spend our lives looking for meaning, for something that pushes us to grow, not just in skills, but as people. And that’s exactly what HNMUN gave me: a goal, a community, and a reason to challenge myself every day.
UNIANDES HNMUN became a place where I can be myself while striving to be better. A space where I’m surrounded by brilliant, driven people who push me forward and make me feel at home.
But more than that, HNMUN is the place that shows you what you’re truly capable of. It tests your limits and then reminds you that you're stronger, smarter, and more resilient than you think. Hi everyone! My name is Michelle Cavelier, and I’m a 23-year-old Economics and Government & Public Affairs student, with a minor in Law.
I joined HNMUN Uniandes in 2023, during the delegation’s 10th year—and without a doubt, it was the best decision I’ve made during my time at Los Andes. I didn’t just make friends for life, I found a family for life. This experience pushed me to grow, let go, have fun, and think outside the box in a safe and empowering space. It’s inspired me to become someone who constantly seeks to challenge herself and uplift others along the way.

Hi everyone! My name is Santiago Marín. I'm 22 years old and I'm in my final semester of law school.
I joined UNIANDES HNMUN without really knowing what I was getting myself into — and that turned out to be the best decision I've made in college. This is my third year on the team, and without a doubt, it has been my richest and most meaningful university experience.
